Here is a great example of what
the IRA had going on for the fans
back in the day!
The Banner Competition! Looks
like Hugh Deery is pointing at the
winners!
Paul Cameron started racing in 1959. Look at that steering wheel!! Paul upgraded
cars and his driving skills along the way and got faster and faster until his
retirement from racing in 1974.  Paul raced his way into the top 10 in IRA points
before all was said and done. Most would agree that Paul was truly one of the nice
guy's at the track.  Paul went for a nasty ride that caused a fire which left him
severely burned over 12 % of his body with 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree burns.  After a
long recover process Paul jumped right back on the horse!  Not only a nice guy, but
truly a tough guy as well!  Thanks for sharing your photo's with us.
Here are a couple more
refrences to IRA's start.
On the right is a Lakes
Area Publication from
May of 1968. On the left
is an article about the
1972 IRA Banquet. The
article says "the 5th
annual banquet".
