Southeastern Wisconsin Short Track Hall of Fame!!!!!!
The Hall of Fame is located in the Wisconsin Auto Museum.   The Hall of Fame
committee has done a wonderful job of displaying our Wisconsin short track
history there.  Any time you get by the Hartford area, a stop off at the Museum has
got to be on your to-do list.  Vintage cars, memorabilia, photo's and even a flash
player are on hand to help you step back in time to some of the greatest days of
short track racing!  Look here for updates on the museum and be sure to click on
the Hall of Fame web site link and take a look!  See who was inducted in 2007 and
2008.

submit a ballot with up to 10 names that they would like to see
inducted for that year. Now is the time to become a member of the
VMSC so you can stay in tune with the very latest info on the Hall of
Fame and how you can effect who gets inducted!!
These photos were taken 1 week before the 2008 induction cerimonies! WTKM radio
came out and did a live broadcast  to help promote the Southeastern Wisconsin

Below is a letter put together by Tim Barty. You may recall
Tim and his Dad in the corners at Wilmot.  Better known as
the "West End Corner Men" Ken and Tim risked life and limb
to help protect our hero's back in the day.  Tim would like all
of you to please consider nominating Ken Barty for induction
into the Southeastern Wisconsin Short Track Hall of Fame.

PRESS RELEASE

Southeastern Wisconsin Short Track Hall of Fame

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: The Southeastern Wisconsin Short Track Hall of
Fame is proud to announce the names of its third group of short track
legends to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, on November 7, 2009. The
induction ceremony will be part of a gala banquet affair to be held at the
Schauer Performing Arts Center, at the Wisconsin Automotive Museum in
Hartford, Wisconsin. The ten new inductees join the forty other short track
racing legends who were previously inducted in the first two years of the
Hall of Fame’s existence based on a Board of Directors vote.

This year’s group was elected into the Hall of Fame by those who subscribe
to the Vintage Modified Stock Car Newsletter. Based on the overwhelming
response of the subscribers, with votes for 160 plus different persons
associated with short track racing in Southeastern Wisconsin, all can be
assured that careful consideration and much thought was given to those who
eventually were elected to the Hall of Fame and will continue to be so in the
future.

The ten inductees for 2009 will be Dick Colburn, Ron Luedtke, Norm Nelson,
Tom Pogo, Bob Robel, Ted Rozinski Sr., Al Schill, Don Schuppel, Bill
Schwister and Gib Wiser. All are to be congratulated on their nomination and
eventual induction to the Hall of Fame.
