Of all the drivers I have seen, the most inspiring of
memories will always be of the man whose scarf waved
behind him seeming to shout that he knew he had already
arrived!  He set numerous track qualifier records, which
explains why this “ace of aces” seemed to glory in the
challenge of advancing from the rear to victory.  While the
talk was his new, innovative cars sometimes raised some
eyebrows, he sure did seem to reach high speeds, crashing
only sometimes; always coming for more!  A name I’ll never
forget is Jim ‘Super’ Sullivan.  Thank you for the incredible
memories.

Thanks also to Dan Erikson for putting together this site
which has given me the opportunity to relive some of the
most explosive of times in history.  They say memories we
have and pass along through sharing are folklore at its
best.  After reading all the articles and commentaries on the
IRA site, and admiring the vintage pictures of men so wild at
heart and full of adventure, the 2007 reunion event is one I
just can’t miss!
